Support Our Fight Against Ebola!

ACE Liberia has teamed with the Ann Sandell Independent School community, Parent Teacher Association, and Telecom Community (the community around the school) to keep the school neighborhoods safe from the deadly Ebola virus.

Twelve (12) congested low income neighborhoods where most of the students live.  Since the Ebola outbreak, health services throughout Liberia have collapsed.  All schools are closed and basic survival is tenuous for these poor families, many of whom live in one or two rooms and share bathrooms and kitchens with several other families.  To date, none of our students or immediate family members have contracted the disease, thanks in part to the emphasis the school placed on hygiene last year, especially hand washing.

This campaign  is operated from the school compound. There is minimal physical contact and meetings. Communication is done primarily by cell phones with identified and trained neighborhood facilitators and leaders.
